Humane Society Golf Tournament

Welcome to the Humane Society Golf Tournament website. Our tournament, benefitting the Humane Society of Sarasota County, is in its eighth year. With the help of caring people like you, we hope to continue to grow each year.

Since I moved to Sarasota in 1997 (and became addicted to golf, according to my wife anyway!) I have played in many charity golf tournaments benefitting many worthwhile causes. But I have always had a special place in my heart for the helpless animals among us who are totally dependent on the generosity of people in order to survive. With this in mind, I decided in 2005 to start my own tournament to benefit the Humane Society of Sarasota County. I approached the director of the organization and told her what I planned. She, of course did not have any objections to someone raising money for Humane Society and offered her support! And eight years later we are still working to raise money for over 4,000 abandon pets.

We offer many ways for individuals and businesses to participate in this event from just enjoying a fun day of golf to sponsoring items ranging from snacks to trophies. Hopefully you can find a way to participate and help a very worthy cause. Thank you.
